Just went through the AppFolio credit dispute process after getting denied for an apartment, and it was honestly more stressful than I expected. They had a bunch of outdated info on my report, including a paid-off collection that should’ve been removed over a year ago. I had to submit supporting docs and wait nearly two weeks to get a response. If anyone else is dealing with an appfolio credit dispute, make sure you gather as much proof as you can up front — old payment records, letters, anything. And don’t wait until a landlord sees it first. Their system isn’t perfect, and one bad entry can seriously mess up your rental chances.
