Credit reporting errors are way more common than people think — and the process to fix them can feel impossible on your own. A lot of firms claim to help, but not all of them actually focus on consumer protection. There’s a good write-up I came across that breaks down what to look for in a legit firm. They're based in New York and actually handle cases under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, FDCPA, and similar laws. Worth looking into if you're getting nowhere with disputes or tired of getting denied over stuff that shouldn't be on your record in the first place.
